…there he was minding his own business when she came sauntering down the sidewalk. He had just gotten back from hunting and was seeking a bit of respite at Mesquite Creek Outfitters before heading home. She was out shopping - per usual habits. She saw him and thought “I don’t know who this man is, but I need him in my life” They exchanged glances as she walked inside the bar. God’s timing wasn’t exactly ready so they missed each other, for this moment. She wandered the square looking for an outfit, but the whole time she kept looking for the handsome man with the black cowboy hat. Suddenly it dawned on her, when you lose something you go back to the last place you saw it. Again she came down the sidewalk and there he was, again just trying to mind his own business. This time, when she goes into the bar, he grabs the door and lowers his hat and greets her with “Howdy.” She then leaves the bar and sits on a bench a couple doors down, thinking to herself he has 15 minutes to come say hi. 11 minutes in, he starts making his way to her. As he walks up, he reaches out his hand for an introduction and says “I’ve always admired a woman who can sit by herself.” He joins her on the bench and God’s timing was perfect. The bench later became a housewarming gift and the location of their engagement. Keep an eye our for it at the wedding!
